  1. The Crucible Review Packet — DUE when we finish the movie.

  1. Read “Memento Mori” by Jonathan Nolan — We will either have a quiz or a writing assignment on it next week.

AP LITERATURE

  1. Ryan, R.K., and Logan’s presentation — Lesson learned last year: eating SPAM is not a wise way to test your manhood/toughness.
  2. Finish Night if you have not.

  2. Next story — “Momento Mori” by Jonathan Nolan — read this on your own — it is tricky!

  2. You should be finished with Night – one last assignment then we’ll be done.

NOVELS

  1. Reading day — it will be worth double points (for yesterday & today)

SHORT STORIES

  1. “Three-ten to Yuma” Packets need to be turned in today or tomorrow.
  2. DUE TODAY (big points): In short 3-4 sentence responses for each, answer the following:
    • What are the redeeming qualities of both the short story and film version of “The Shawshank Redemption”?
    • Does the violence and language change the way you look at the characters?
    • Does this story change the way you look at or think about Stephen King as a writer? — Remember he is noted for his horror stories.
    • Is “The Shawshank Redemption” a “horror” story?  Why or why not?
AP LITERATURE
  1. You need your literature book!
  2. Read excerpt from Walden by Henry David Thoreau pages 204 to 208.
  3. See me after you have finished reading it.
NOVELS
  1. Workday to finish and turn in Action/Adventure/Suspense packets.
  2. If you are finished, then you should be reading.

SHORT STORIES

  1.
