  1. BRING YOUR NOVEL — Reading Day Points!
  2. Fill out your reading log and set in in the basket on my desk at the end of class.
  3. Periods 3 & 7 finish Quiz on grievances against the king.

  1. Visit the library to renew and check out the book fair
  2. Reading Day when we get back
  3. Prosser people make sure you have the pink form from guidance and your schedule ready — Anyone can use the computers to work on scheduling if you need to do that.

AP Literature

  1. Reading or Group Work Day — to get to the assignments go to the top of this page and click “The Random Page” and there is a link to it there.
  2. Not many people turned in Poetry Response #7….

English 11

  1. Know 5-8 grievances against the King of England — Quiz :) (page 114-6 in lit. book)
  2. Reading The Declaration of Independence.
  3. Writing assignment:

Short Stories

  1. Log in on the computers — Someone other than Seth try computer #25.
  2. Make sure you have a folder on your desktop called “LanSchool Files” (no quotes, capitalization and spacing has to be exact).  I’ll send you a copy of the story.
  3. “1408″ by Stephen King — graphic, scary, etc. if you would like an alternative reading see me — note it will be longer than “1408″ and more complicated work.

Novels

  1. Reading Day — Almost everyone did well last reading day.
  2. Next week, I will have a sign-up sheet for presentations.  Start looking for items you can use for the brown bag report or start collecting “good” images you can use with Prezi.
  3. It is a lot easier to get images at home. (Thanks, Internet filter.)

AP Literature

  1. Working in groups can stink.  However, it is a growing trend in college curriculum — I have told you some of my horror stories.  So to practice, you will be assigned RANDOM groups for the following project: CLICK HERE <– You can get to this link in “Random” page. 
  2. The website tells you everything to do.  I am hands off on this one.  I will be watching how your group works together, how you deal with problem solving, and who is doing what — and will adjust group grades accordingly.
  3. Presentations begin 3/12.  Be prepared.

2/22/12 AP Extra Credit
